Beachcomber Cottage is a charming property set
behind Front Street in the coastal town of
Newbiggin-by-the-Sea in Northumberland. It is
conveniently located only a short walk from the
promenade and beach in this small, friendly town
and is dog-friendly too!The cottage is finished and
furnished to a high specification and consists of an
open plan living/dining/kitchen (with electric oven,
gas hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine),
and a bathroom on the ground floor and two
bedrooms on the first floor. It has gas central
heating, and gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and
Wi-Fi are included

About Newbiggin
Beachcomber Cottage is an ideal base for touring around the many visitor attractions in
Northumberland, officially voted ‘Best County to Visit 2018’ in the British Tourism Awards.
Newbiggin by the sea boasts a stuning sweeping bay from Church Point, home to the
Maritime Centre and stretches 1-mile with the promenade set on the edge of the beach.
One of the notable attractions in Newbiggin is The Couple Statue which sits out in the sea
in the middle of the Bay (there is a smaller version on the Promenade called Ebb and Flo,
(pictured above). Midway along the promenade is a traditional ice cream parlour -
Bertorelli’s which is located in a superb Art Deco style listed building.Also located on the
promenade is Newbiggin Rocket House and Life Boat Station - one of the oldest in
England which is open on Sundays. At the far end of Newbiggin Bay is Newbiggin
Maritime Centre, a volunteer run organisation located in an imposing purpose built
proprerty at Church Point - where visitors can enjoy the Breakwater Café, the Seashore
Shop, a three gallery Museum and a large Function Room.
